Who Are We? 

Co-founders Rebecca Greaves and Roy Lazorwitz met through their shared love of theatre despite their different creative backgrounds—Rebecca, an actor exploring how to blend yoga and performance for sustainable theatre, and Roy, a comedy writer/director seeking a lasting creative community. After collaborating on a play that Roy wrote and directed and Rebecca performed, they discovered a shared approach to creating theatre: with care for the artists' well-being and a focus on small, honest, and challenging stories. Together, they founded a theatre company rooted in mindfulness, community, sustainability, and a reflection of our shared humanity.

What Are We Doing? 

We are a theatre company dedicated to creating thought-provoking, character-driven productions that explore contemporary society and our shared humanity. With a unique focus on mindfulness and artist well-being, we foster a diverse community of creatives, ensuring every production is both sustainable and intentional. In 2025, we plan to produce monthly storytelling shows, short plays written by local playwrights, and one large-scale production. We need the help of our community to make this vision a reality.  

How Can You Help? 

We understand that there are countless worthy causes to support right now. We hope you’ll consider Dirty Gold Theatre , which has already become a vital haven for expression and escape – a space where people of all identities can connect, reflect, and find inspiration. By supporting a local, grassroots arts organization, you will directly be able to see the impact of your contribution. Here’s how your support—at any level—can make a big difference:

• $25 – Secures rehearsal supplies like water, snacks, printed materials, and first aid kits.  
• $50 – Provides an hour of rehearsal space, giving our artists a safe, comfortable environment to create.
• $75 – Helps us promote our monthly storytelling shows, mindfulness workshops, and larger-scale productions on social media to reach audiences. 
• $100 – Contributes to video production costs needed to apply for grants and additional funding. 
• $250 – Supports mindfulness workshops that play a critical role in nurturing our artists’ mental health and well-being.
• $500 – Contributes to actor pay, ensuring our artists receive fair compensation for their talents and dedication.
• $750 – Funds materials for our set designs, bringing our creative vision to life on stage.
• $1,000 or more – Covers the cost of safe, professional theatre rentals and equipment, elevating the quality of our audience’s experience.
